A few things to look for when hiring an electrician

1 Comment

At Kitchen Electric we visit client’s homes and businesses all across Clark County and Skamania County providing quotes and performing quality electrical work. One of the main concerns we come across with clients, whether they are home owners or business owners is the worry of finding an electrician who is professional and qualified. It comes as no surprise to us that many clients are rightfully concerned about getting a professional electrician to carry out their electrical work without paying more than they should for an electrical job. We don’t blame you!

Below is some information that should help you avoid hiring the wrong electrician and to hopefully clear up the uncertainty when finding a professional electrician. These are things that you should look for and what we strive to follow at Kitchen Electric.

*Licensed contractor?

It is required that all contractors be licensed with the Department of Labor and Industries in the State of Washington. As a consumer, we strongly urge you to check out your contractor and verify this information prior to having any work completed.   Of course, Kitchen Electric abides by all of the rules, but if you are curious, you can click here to verify.

* Getting in touch, staying in touch.

At Kitchen Electric, we understand that someone answering the phone or responding to an email promptly is important to our current and future clients. With that being said, there may be a time that we can’t answer right away because life happens! As a husband and wife team trying to run a successful small business, while keeping costs down and raising two teenage kids, things come up that pull us away from being able to answer on the spot. If we aren’t able to respond right away, we guarantee if you leave a message or email, we will respond as quickly as we can. It should take no more than 24 hours for someone to call you back or respond.

* You tell us what time works for you!

When scheduling an appointment for work or a quote, we do our absolute best to fit you in when it works for you. We understand your time is valuable and so is ours, so with any job we quote or perform –  we will do our best to give you an idea of how long it will take prior to starting so you can plan accordingly.

* First Impressions

My mom always told me to go with my gut!  We are here to listen to your needs and provide honest, cost saving solutions. Our goal from our first meeting, whether on the phone or in person, is that we will leave you with a feeling of comfort and trust. We have built our business with our current clients on the basis of honesty, integrity, workmanship and value. We really do want to be your electrician for life!

*Price

We will provide cost effective solutions after spending the time getting to know what it is you are trying to accomplish.  Many times, we will offer different options and will always leave you in the driver’s seat for making the final decision.   We advise all of our clients to obtain at least two quotes before proceeding with any work and don’t be afraid to ask questions.  Communication is key!  At Kitchen Electric, we understand that you are looking for the best value for your dollar and we will do our absolute best to keep you within that budget amount and provide you with the service and end result that will gain us the privilege of being your electrician for life!

*Phone calls are free!

Feel free to call us at 360-835-2181 if you have any questions regarding electrical.  We are happy to help because without you, there would be no Kitchen Electric!
